DustinMathews.com - What I Learned Being Stuck At The Airport
October 20, 2007
Well it’s nearly 2:30 a.m. and I’m stuck in Charlotte, North Carolina. I’m coming back from a seminar we just held in Philadelphia. I’ve learned a lot on this trip…
1. Don’t put people in a plane for 2 and a half hours before taking. It was amazing to see how rowdy people got. Now what good is that going to do. I simply did some work, watched a movie and actually enjoyed this new found time. But then again I’m self employed and don’t really have to worry about that prime checkout time: the weekend.
2. Starbucks is OPEN! Of course my marketing mind kicked in. I asked an airport worker who was in line and he said that this one was always open. My first thought was that it served the midnight shift of workers, but he told me that a lot of people get stranded. What an idea. Is there a market for your product that you don’t know about? Being in and around your business…and…AWARE can lead to additional streams of income.
Food for thought while I chug down my Mocha Latte.
