DustinMathews.com - The Secret: Law of Attraction Revisited
April 24, 2007
I’ve got a really cool example about the main principle in the Secret: Law of Attraction. In a nutshell the Law of Attraction says, “That which you think about positively or negatively you attract.” Well, I found out that it’s more than that.
You don’t necessarily have to think about things to attract them into your life. This past weekend I went to Dan Kennedy & Bill Glazer’s Superconference in Chicago - which is an awesome 4 day conference on marketing. Even if you don’t like marketing I highly recommend that you go, because the ideas and the people you’ll meet at this conference will blow your mind!
But back to the law of attraction…at this seminar i went to dinner at Stevie Vai’s brother’s restaurant Entourage, with a few people on the “up and up.” This who’s who of the information marketing world:
* Dave Dickson & Ron Ipach- Information marketers to the auto industry
* Ali - The Ezine Queen
* Mark Ingles - Prince of Printing
* Darin Mish - Nation’s leading IRS attorney
* Victor Cheng - Fortune 500 and small business consultant
I could fill an entire screen with the Awesome people I met…
I was attracting these people into my life and vice versa. I hadn’t thought about attracting these people, it happened because I put it out there to attract other things in my life.
But there was one person in particular I noticed. I thought, “Hey, I’ve seen him before. He’s in the Secret!”
His name is David Schirmer! When the opportunity manifested itself I was there to share a taxi with him and his wife. Of course, I had to pick his brain.
See what he told me in the next post…
DustinMathews.com - Stepping Out of the Comfort Zone
April 18, 2007
If you’re interested in making huge leaps and bounds in you life then stepping out of the comfort zone continually is a must.
Easier said than done, right?
The only way to continually push ourselves and to evolve is to do the things that we’re afraid of - things that at FIRST make us uncomfortable. When you learn to spend most of your time out of the comfort zone is when you will realize the biggest gains in your life. Here’s an overly simplistic real life example from when I was a youngster.
It was the first time I was going down a “big boy” water slide. I swear this thing was over 10 stories tall and was almost completely vertical. From the ground the slide looked massive, especially for a 10 year old. But to the egging on of my dad we began to climb the stairs. I started shaking and contemplating if I wanted to do this.
I tried backing out - kicking and screaming, but my dad simply wouldn’t let me. It was as if he knew something I didn’t that day. To encourage me he went first, he crossed his legs and arms and *poof* he disappeared down the slide. I could see him as a small spec at the bottom of the slide…safe.
Now it was my turn. I laid on the slide…crossed my arms and legs…shut my eyes tight and before I knew it I was at the bottom of the slide. And it was the funnest, most exiting thing I had ever done! I wanted to do it again and again…and I did! I must have gone on that slide 6 times that day at Adventure Island.
Had I never stepped out of my comfort zone, I would have never known how fun it was to go down that slide.
If you don’t start that business, get up on stage in front of people, ask that attractive girl out on a date…whatever it is in your life, how will you know what it is that you like to do? Or better yet how will you ever grow?
DustinMathews.com - Law of Attraction
April 17, 2007
What you are thinking about right now - you will attract in your life!
Right now I’m reading the “Law of Attraction - The Basics of the Teachings of Abraham” by Esther and Jerry Hicks and throw it out to the universe that anyone that comes across this text will go out, get this book and change their life. This just might be the book that changes your mindset and gives you the power to have whatever you want.
Why, you might ask?
If you care (or should I say dare) to unlock the power of having what you want and figuring out why you’ve got what you don’t want in life, then reading this book is a no brainer. For those skeptics out there, this isn’t a motivational “rah-rah” book - it’s a book about mindset and knowing the Secret that truly successful know. You might have heard about or even seen the Secret. If you’ve been living under a rock for the past three months - it’s been gaining some HOT press lately having been on CNN, Oprah, and all over the Internet. This truly is the book behind the movie.
Now at first you might be thinking, “I’ve got a lot of negative things in my life going on.” I’m here to tell you that you are using the Law of Attraction to attract these negative feelings.
“Woa…there partner! Why would I want to attract negative things into my life?”
You might not necessarily want these things, but by giving attention to negative thoughts - you are attracting more of them into your life. If you are thinking about that unbearable job or financial struggle, then you are giving thought to negative situations in your life. I challenge you to focus on what you want. Focus on the end result that you desire and not what you don’t want.
Follow this advice and watch your life transform (it has mine)! But before that go out and get the book titled “Law of Attraction.”
Dustin Mathews, Marshall Sylver and Skip LaCour
April 2, 2007
I just attended Marshall Sylver’s Turning Point Seminar and it it’s self development you’re looking for, then you’ve gotta attend. Think of it as personal development with a twist.
To overcome fears I ate fire, broke through a wooden board using my hand and was hypnotized! It’s not “clucking like a chicken,” but rather visualizing what you want to have for your life.

To the skeptics, you could say that stuff doesn’t work and that’s cheesy, but that’s not why you’d go. My question is why not empower your life?
Pictured above is former world body building Skip LaCour. I think the guy on the right is bigger though.
