Boring Emails Are Useless
July 29, 2006
I’m tired of seeing boring e-mails in e-mail marketing. There is no emotion behind them, so how can you expect to create the emotion to motivate your prospect buy or much less act. If you want results, spice up your e-mails and personalize them.
I can’t tell you how important it is to build a persona with your clients. They get to know you through your e-mails, and it becomes easier fro mthem to buy from you.
I’m involved in the corporate world and see boring e-mails everyday. But even in the corporate world you’ve got to have personality. Choose one or two people to essetinally be the spokespeople for your company. A rule of thumb is one spokesperson per department. For example a company’s structure could be as follows:
General company messages: CEO
Marketing/Sales: Director of Marketing or Sales
Training: Training Director
etc…
Be sure not to confuse the message and stay consistent!
E-Mail Marketing Examples
July 27, 2006
Part of creating your image is making a name for yourself through your communications with customers. Be creative and don’t think about the importance of every last word. This isn’t as demanding a word as sales copy - they receive emails from you a lot more than going to your site!
Here are three examples I created in less than 10 mintues yesterday morning.
Example 1 ——————-
Hi ~Contact.FirstName~,
Customers from South Florida: PLEASE STOP BLOWING UP MY PHONE! Yes, as a customer of ForeclosuresDaily you get to come to this class absolutely free.
Since, so many of you have called, I am flying Steve Jackson from Tampa to Ft. Lauderdale to give you a private, in-depth training session on using technology to explode your business.
Our customers here in Tampa are staying ahead of the competition, by leveraging technology to get deals. I didn’t believe it, but when I started seeing the checks, I changed my thoughts quick!
People that couldn’t get any deals, are landing their 1st and 2nd deals! And then there are some supercharging their house buying business (like Steve Jackson) and doing at LEAST 1 deal per month.

Example 2 ——————-
Hi ~Contact.FirstName~,
We’re down to only 7 more seats for the Double-Header Pre-Foreclosure Seminar Saturday. It’s the 4th quarter and if you are down in the game, here’s your chance.
Your starting Quarterbacks this weekend are David Naylor & Roger Salam. David is going to discuss breaking through the mental barriers to acquire as many houses as you’d like. Roger will start the 2nd half by talking about Jacksonville’s pre-foreclosure and foreclosure market.
If you haven’t signed yourself up, here’s the link:

P.S. It’s time to get the hurry up offense on the field…clock is ticking!
Example 3 ——————-
Hi ~Contact.FirstName~,
I was trying to decide who I’d rather have Roger Salam or David Naylor for the upcoming event, about a moth or so ago. Both are friends on mine and I was having a hard time deciding, but then it came to me. Kinda like an idea that hits you in an seminar that you know can make you thousands of dollars!
Well…are you wondering what I decided?
BOTH…of course! And lucky you ~Contact.FirstName~, because they are going to be here, right in Jacksonville next Saturday, July 29th. We decided to can the “hotel scene” and have it in an up close and personal location:
University of North Florida - University Center
12000 Alumni Dr
Jacksonville, FL 32224
David Naylor is going to lead off at 9:00 am and will be talking about that which really stops you from doing what you want in life. He talks about the Mental Barriers, and I can tell you it’s not the lack of knowledge in real estate that prevents people from doing deals, it’s what in your own head that prevents you.
After lunch, Roger Salam will get into the meat of pre-foreclosure and foreclosure investing. Roger will build upon David’s talk, and let you know of the barriers associated with real estate investing. For those of you that don’t know, Roger was one of Tony Robbins’ “Right Hand Men.” So if you think you are in for a treat…well…you are!
If you haven’t signed up lready, here’s the link to get in FREE, otherwise it’s $69!

P.S. If you can’t buy a house after this doubleheader, you should just pack it in.
Podcasting Article by Alex Mandossian
July 20, 2006
I actually was in Chicago about 2 months ago and saw a billboard advertising a podcasting service by, I believe it was AT&T. I couldn’t believe that I was seeing a corporate giant staying ahead of the curve. It won’t be long before this becomes mainstream. Those that are ahead of the game, are going to make BIG money.
I saw this article by Alex Mandossian at www.alexmandossian.com and think he’s got it!
Are you podcating yet?
A New Way to Communicate
By Alex Mandossian
Because of technology, the world is at a turning point in the way people communicate and in the way people monetize their content. With the advent of podcasting and small, affordable media players, communicating content to other people has never been easier, faster, or more convenient.
A song can be downloaded almost instantly over the internet to go with you wherever you go. Instead of carrying a CD player that holds one CD with about a dozen songs, we can carry one small media player in a shirt pocket that holds hundreds of songs or hours of instructional audio.
We don’t have to drive to the store to buy the music or wait for it to arrive at our house in the mail. It doesn’t get any more convenient than that.
The huge interest in the subject of profiting from podcasting that was demonstrated at the Portable Media Expo 2005 is an indication of where the industry is heading. I believe the next expo will be even bigger and better than this one was. And the third will be even better still.
I can see Portable Media Expo growing as fast as Comdex has. Comdex is an expo known for their expertise on the topics of electronics and new technology.
And with this new technology comes the question, “Can I make money with podcasting?”
People want to know if it can be done.
Well, I’m doing it with Marketing Online Live, the official podcast of www.MarketingOnlineLive.com and with our new premium podcasts services.
North Carolina Foreclosures with Jeff Kaller
July 20, 2006
I’ll be flying up to North Carolina to be speaking about Foreclosures with Jeff Kaller on Saturday, July 29th. Here’s a video preview.
ForeclosuresDaily
July 15, 2006
When I started at www.ForeclosuresDaily.com I had really no idea what I was getting into. I just wanted to buy a house. However, what I have learned at ForeclosuresDaily has been unreal.
What started me in marketing and real estate was Kiyosaki’s book given to me by me ex-girlfriend (thanks Kim Palusiak!). That sparked me to go to a real estate investor club here in Tampa SREIA, where I met Dave VanHoose, one of the owners of ForeclosuresDaily.
I told him, “Show me really how to buy a house, and I’ll do some computer work for you.” He was sold and so was I. I started using my technology background from Florida State Univesrity to help sell and fill room fro Foreclosure training events…so much so, that I rivalved the top sales person in the company.
Eventually my success led to a sales position, then to the regional sales manager of Southwest Florida, Georgia, & the company’s largest territory, good ol’ TampaBay. Now I’ve landed in my current position, Director of Marketing & Training.
What I have learned along the way is that if you really want to learn something, find a company that does what you’d like to get in, and then let loose. I’ll tell you when I first got in bed with this company, I had no idea I’d be doing Sales, Marketing, and Speaking in front of rooms of 200 people. I was the quiet, skinny, hunched over computer nerd as Dave tells it.
Since then I have been to bootcamps that cost over $2000 dollars. I’ve been to 2 of Lou Brown’s Millionaire Jumpstart and Massice Asset Shield seminars (maybe 3). Jeff Kaller’s . I’ve also run countless events with ForeclosuresDaily’s speaker line up Larry Harbolt and Curtis Brooks, masters in their field. I think I’ve made $10,000 just off of seminars! And I won’t even count the value of the books in my library.
Now that’s all warm and fuzzy, but the greates value has been getting up close and personal with Lou, Jeff, Curtis, Larry etc. These guys are incredible resources that I have access to. Try doing that by just getting into real estate. The great thing is, I get to pay for these guys dinners, and I get an hour or two with them upfront and raw.
The marketing ideas, guidances, tips, etc. have skyrocketed my career and has allowed me to think creatively.
So when you are thinking of taking up a new hobby or getting into something new, think of this and see how far you’ll go:
“GO TO WORK ”
Landmark Education
July 10, 2006
A highly recommend resource is the Landmark Forum & the Advanced Course. It’s one thing to pickup great ideas at seminars, but implementing these ideas can be a challenge. I often feel overwhelmed with the amount of ideas to act on. However, after being a part of Landmark Education, I feel that I am able to see the ideas, implement them and generate money!
It really gives your brain a rewiring that allows you to act on these new ideas. You don’t let obstacles, fear, and excuses in your mind, which allows you to focus on what you need to.
The Forum opens up man doors, and allows you to act on the ideas that you want. With this technology, I feel empowered to do anything. And when you feel this power, you are more willing to take risks, and as they say the risk takers are rewarded.
Give it a look, it just might change your life.
Launching the iFlask

However here’s an artists rendition of the iFlask.

Public Relations Mastery Program Seminar
July 3, 2006
I just got back from Boise, Idaho from Dave Lakhani’s Public Relations Mastery Seminar. You wouldn’t believe how nice and clean Boise, Idaho is.
At the 2 day seminar I picked up how to use PR to drive draffic and increase exposure to your website. I highly recommend looking into www.prweb.com. This is a site where you can submit your press release to thousands of sites which will create a web around your site.
Branding Guru, Ben Mack, made a special appearance, which was incredible. He said that the Legend is the most profitable story. He went on to say that Legends are told and retold, have a meaningful connection with and audience, and grow stronger as they age.
Are you creating a Legend?
